Resume: Alessandro graduated in Computer Science at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", having worked as a Point-of-Service Java software developer earlier. Since his master thesis work developed within the Italian National Digital Administration Council (CNIPA), he has been fascinated by the fields of Web Services and Semantic Web technologies, with an eye on Human Computer Interaction.

Starting in 2009, he worked as a research associate for the Semantic Technology Lab within the Institute for Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC-CNR), where he delivered software and publications to the NeOn Project. Since January 2010, he has been working on his PhD thesis on Semantic Web usage in CMS interaction at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, with his liaison with the STLab lasting to this day.

Alessandro is one of the founding members of the NeOn Technologies Foundation and one of the first committers to the Stanbol project at the Apache Software Foundation. There, he contributes with software and best practices for ontology lifecycle management. He has professional knowledge of English and Italian languages, as well as a background in French and modern Greek.
